Workshop on Japanese Buddhist Art in Hawaii and Its Conservation

I would like to invite you to a workshop on (damaged) Japanese Buddhist treasures that crossed the Pacific and their conservation. Please register and join the online conversation.

Moriya Tomoe (Nanzan Institute for Religion and Culture), Annaka Naofumi (Rissho University), and Sasaoka Naomi (Tohoku University of Arts and Design) will discuss current conditions of Buddhist statues, scrolls, and other materials (e.g. temple records, photos, and audio tapes) that need to be conserved for temple members and future historical study.

Moderators: Ishii Kiyozumi/Seijun (Komazawa University) and Nakahara Yukari (Ehime University)
