Dear Listserv Members,
Pacific World: Journal of the Institute of Buddhist Studies is soliciting papers for the fourth volume of its fourth series.
Supported by BDK America, Pacific World is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed English-language journal produced by the Institute of Buddhist Studies. The journal seeks to engage both academic and lay audiences through original interdisciplinary research on all Buddhist traditions, from early period studies to contemporary studies, across all geographical locations. We are particularly open to studies of Jōdo Shinshū Buddhism.
We are currently soliciting for individual, collaborative, and thematically organized material for the upcoming volume. As an interdisciplinary journal, Pacific World welcomes submissions from a variety of disciplines and methodologies, including historical, textual, ritual, philosophical, sociological, doctrinal, ethnographic, and biographical approaches.
All submissions will be reviewed individually. Prospective authors should consult the Pacific World Style Guide for Authors prior to submitting their manuscripts. Please contact the Senior Editor, Dr. Natalie Quli (natalie@shin-ibs.edu), for more information.
