Position Summary:

The Department of Philosophy and Religion at Rollins College invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Religion with specialization in Asian Religions, beginning Fall 2023. Teaching load is 6 courses per year, including a survey of Asian Religions, introductory Buddhism courses, general education courses in the candidate’s fields of interest, and Senior Seminar courses on rotation. We encourage candidates to propose courses within their specialty. We are an active and collegial department, committed to DEI.

Strong applicants will persuasively articulate the value of studying religion in the Liberal Arts setting. Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Religious Studies (Applications from individuals who are ABD will be accepted). Evidence of successful teaching experience in Religious Studies.

Minimum Qualifications and Education:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Religious Studies (ABDs will be accepted).
Evidence of successful teaching experience in Religious Studies.
