EVENT> Zoom Book Launch for Steven Heine’s Festschrift, April 8

Dear colleagues,

I would like to invite you to a book launch to celebrate the release of The Theory and Practice of Zen Buddhism: A Festschrift in Honor of Steven Heine (Springer, 2022), edited by Charles S. Prebish and On-cho Ng. It will be held via Zoom on Friday, April 8, 1-4 EST.

The event will start with brief introductions by the editors and a couple of Steven Heine's colleagues, and it will continue with comments on Steven Heine's works by several contributors followed by his responses, in addition to open discussion of topics including the role of Zen studies, textual hermeneutics and translations, Buddhism and East Asian religiosity, as well as Japanese culture and thought.
