H-Histsex Seeks Additional Review Editors

H-Histsex, the H-Net network dedicated to the history of sexuality, seeks one or two additional review editors to broaden and expand its reviews program, currently led by Dr. Chiara Beccalossi, a specialist of early modern history. The network has been publishing reviews for over 10 years and has great potential to grow.

Review editors solicit and edit reviews of recently published books in the history of sexuality. H-Net handles all book ordering and mailing, and we have professional copyeditors on staff who help to ensure that all reviews adhere to H-Net's standards and guidelines for reviewing.

Qualification: a graduate degree or equivalent in any area of sexuality studies, particularly in a period of history that is not early modern. Review editors are trained to use the online reviews management system and serve for two-year renewable terms. All editors must be certified by the H-Net Council.

For more information or to apply, please email the Managing Editor of Reviews, Yelena Kalinsky: yelena@mail.h-net.msu.edu

Just to clarify Yelena’s message. My area of expertise is modern history of sexuality, in particular modern European history of sexuality (https://networks.h-net.org/users/chiara-beccalossi). H-histsex is searching for review editors who would complement my expertise; in particular it would be great if an early modern historian would be happy to join the H-histsex team.

If you are interested in the role please email Yelena Kalinsky: yelena@mail.h-net.msu.edu
