Conference Registration Open: Religion and Conflict in the Medieval and Early Modern Periods, with strand on Emotions History
Registration is now open for the fourth biennial conference of the Centre for the Study of Religion and Conflict at Nottingham Trent University.
This conference will take place on Tuesday 27th-Wednesday 28th June 2023, in person at NTU's City Campus. We will explore a wide range of aspects of religion and conflict across the medieval and early modern periods, and internationally. There will be keynote lectures by Professor Bridget Heal (St Andrews) and Dr Stephen Spencer (Northeastern University London), and panel sessions comprising around 30 papers spread geographically and chronologically across the medieval and early modern worlds. There is a special strand on Emotions History running through the conference, reflected in Dr Spencer's keynote lecture, and several thematic panel sessions on emotions. For more details, see the Draft Programme (subject to revision).
There will also be a live music event and Q+A, featuring performances from Kate Arnold and Guests.
Conference attendance (including catering during the day) is free, but advance registration via Eventbrite is required. Please register by 31st May 2023 at the latest.
