Greetings. I hope it is okay for me to post this here. I wanted to post this "call for proposals" for a new book series I am in charge of under Palgrave Macmillan's Gender Studies book list.

Series Title:  Reimagining Comparative Feminist Studie

Series Editors: Chandra Talpade Mohanty & Dana M. Olwan

Point of Contact: Nina Guttapalle, nina.guttapalle@palgrave-usa.com

Description:

Previously known as Comparative Feminist Studies, this newly revived series, Reimagining Comparative Feminist Studiesseeks scholarly work that foregrounds feminist writing, organizing, and theorizing. The series takes up fundamental analytic and political issues shaping the cross-cultural production of knowledge about decolonial feminisms, feminist activisms, and feminist solidarities. The series engages comparative feminist studies critically, focusing on works that interrogate the politics of knowledge formation in relation to feminist organizing and social movements across historical, cultural, and geopolitical borders.  The reimagined CFS series will draw on feminist thinking in a number of fields, and feature innovative, intersectional, and radical feminist scholarship. We invite contributions that center new pedagogical and curricular strategies, transformative community organizing, and political education. Volumes in this series will provide systematic interventions that challenge dominant and hegemonic approaches to feminism, while simultaneously envisioning and enacting urgently needed feminist solidarities across racial, cultural, and national differences.
