CFP: Seeking co-panelists for ESEH panel on Envirotech Histories

Dear H-HistGeog members,

We are putting together a panel proposal on envirotech histories for the European Society for Environmental History (ESEH) 2021 conference in Bristol in July 2021.

The panel will explore the entanglements between the environment, technology, and society within Europe and beyond its borders. So far we have two papers: one paper looking at the land reclamations in southern Macedonia as part of Greek government's ambitious social engineering program in the interwar period; and one examining the social, economic, and ecological implications of a railway line that connected a coal basin on the Black Sea coast to Ankara in Early Republican Turkey.

We are looking for two more panelists, dealing with the intertwined history(ies) of environment and technology in any part of the world. Please send your contact information and a 200-300 word abstract of your paper by October 25, 2020 to:
