Paper No. 7, in the Plant Series, for the Maria Manuscript (MS408) is now available to freely download: https://ling.auf.net/lingbuzz/005069
The plant species is Campanula rapunculus, and the paper reveals the Medieval etymologies for the terms 'rampion' and 'rapunzel', which are two of its vernacular European names. The plant was used as a 'cure-all'. Much of the manuscript relates to medicines, illness and death, as this was a Medieval preoccupation.
