Inaugural Virtual Allen Morris Forum on the Native South

The Allen Morris Forum on the Native South invites interested parties to join a collegial exhibition of new research on Native Americans in the American South virtually via Zoom. The inaugural meeting welcomes the work of Dr. Jeff Washburn (University of Texas Permian Basin) with comments by Dr. Kristalyn Shefveland (University of Southern Indiana) and Dr. Natalie Inman (Cumberland University).

 

Dr. Washburn will be discussing his work titled “‘When at a Distance, Friendship Always Remains Firm and Secure’: Chickasaws and the Creation of a Pragmatic Peace, 1790-1816.”

 

The event is free but requires an RSVP to access the Zoom room and receive the pre-circulated paper.
