Dear H-South Subscribers,
I am writing in my capacity as H-Net’s Vice President of Networks and as a fellow southern historian. I will be in attendance at the Annual Meeting of the Southern Historical Association in Louisville and wanted to invite anyone who is curious about volunteering with H-South to reach out to me (email@example.com) about meeting up at the conference. I would be happy to sit down and talk about some of the various ways that scholars and teachers (of any rank) can get involved with the network, and I can even splurge for a few drinks. If you won’t be at the conference, I can also chat by phone. Let me briefly share a few links that point to projects from around H-Net that can serve as models / inspiration for individuals interested in working with H-South. H-South will also need a few volunteers who can help with the light, routine work of approving announcements.

Let me also add that I’m more than happy to meet with scholars and teachers interested in other topics that might align with one of H-Net’s roughly 180 networks.
