We acknowledge that in Milwaukee we live and work on traditional Potawatomi, Ho-Chunk, and Menominee homelands along the southwest shores of Michigami, part of North America’s largest system of freshwater lakes, where the Milwaukee, Menominee, and Kinnickinnic rivers meet and the people of Wisconsin’s sovereign Anishinaabe, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Oneida, and Mohican nations remain present.

Hi Angie I’d love one of it’s still available? My email is if you want to get in touch.

Warm regards,

The link does not provide information on how to actually access the offer.

Anyone interested in delving deeper into this topic might like to know that Kenneth Spencer Research Library's Special Collections at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS holds the papers and correspondence of Thomas Russell Smith (late professor of geography) at call number MS 288 (link to finding aid): ). This collection includes research correspondence and notes for his article. The original examples of maps by Juan de la Cruz Cano y Olmedilla that inspired T.R. Smith's research are also held in Special Collections at call numbers Orbis Maps 1:186 a & b and call number N5. Since I have retired and am no longer at Spencer Research Library, questions about access to this material should be emailed to:

Karen S. Cook
