"Cartography in the European Enlightenment: How to build a reference work in three easy conversations" is a 3- part Discover Series hosted by the Clements Library (University of Michigan) in March. The conversations will explore Volume Four of The History of Cartography, recently released by the University of Chicago Press. The volume's co-editors, Matthew Edney and Mary Pedley, join contributor Gottfried Hagen (Ottoman mapping) and map curator Karl Longstreth, to discuss the preparation, editing, content, and layout of the encyclopedic volume.
