The Yale-NUS program in Digital Historical Maps of Southeast Asia is hosting a series of exciting panels of online lectures about the mapping of SE Asia and the construction and functions of a curated digital archive of early maps. The organizers are Prof. Jane M. Jacobs and Yueh Siang Chang.
Panels address key themes facing map historians today: circulations (23 September), histories, collections, publics, and unlocking (21 October), at weekly intervals. (One registers for each panel separately.)
The schedule and full information for each week's panel are available here: https://historicmapssea.commons.yale-nus.edu.sg/events/
This looks to be a really productive series!!!
(Of course I'm biased as I'm one of the speakers.)
