The Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture, in partnership with Jewish Studies programs in the USA and Canada, invites applications for small grants to support research in Jewish Studies in Ukraine. The Center for Governance and Culture in Europe (GCE-HSG) at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland invites paper proposals for a conference “Migration, Mobility and Displacement in the Black Sea Region” to be held in Tbilisi, Georgia, on 12-15 September 2022.
In a humanitarian effort to help those college students and families affected by the current conflict in Ukraine, Hampton University President Dr. William R. Harvey has announced that it will invite 50-100 Ukrainian and international college students presently studying in Ukraine to continue their education on HU’s campus this summer.
The Association for Women in Slavic Studies (AWSS) Graduate Research Prize is awarded annually to fund promising graduate-level research in any field of Slavic/East European/Central Asian studies by a woman or on a topic in Women's or Gender Studies related to Slavic Studies/East Europe/Central Asia by a scholar of any gender. Graduate students who are at any stage of master's or doctoral level research are eligible. Only current graduate students are eligible for this prize.
As part of the fundraising campaign for endangered scholars, the Ukraine Initiative of different members the University of Erfurt and the "Universitätsgesellschaft Erfurt" is offering to scholars from Ukraine the opportunity to deliver guest lectures. The aim is to provide visibility for our Ukrainian colleagues and their work.
The Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) is offering a one-year fellowship for researchers (m/f/d) in economic sociology or political economy.
The fellowship is intended for researchers who were working at an academic and/or research institution in Ukraine in February 2022 and have been displaced by the war.
