Dear H-Disability subscribers,

Greetings! I write to encourage you to join the Disability History Association or renew your membership for the 2022 calendar year.

This past year, the DHA issued awards to recognize excellent scholarship, supported graduate students as they traveled to conferences, shared disability history widely in our bimonthly podcast, and published the blog, All of Us, which was featured in the Washington Post. Inspired by our President Kathleen Brian's invitation in the Spring 2021 newsletter, we've also taken a close look at the structure and governance of our organization, seeking ways to make our leadership more horizontal and conditions more welcoming to diverse voices. In 2022, we hope to share with you a revamped website as well as a new fellowship offering to support early career scholars.

To join or renew your membership, please go to the DHA website and fill out the online membership form. You may submit your dues via PayPal or check. Membership dues remain the same this year:
• $15 (US) - individual membership for students, or those with a low or fixed income
• $30 (US) - individual membership for those with stable income
• $100 (US) - institutional membership (includes two student memberships)
• $500 (US) - individual membership for life

Thank you for your support of the DHA! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

With thanks and regards,

Laurel Daen
