The theme this year is The Common Soldier.

We will gather in IUPUI University Library’s Ashby Room, which is located in the middle of IUPUI’s campus. A campus map is here: https://map.iu.edu/iupui/

Our schedule:

Glenna Schroeder-Lein, independent scholar, “’Your work is truly a good one’: Aiding the Civil War Soldier in Transit”

Peter S. Carmichael, Gettysburg College, to speak and answer questions on his recent book, The War for the Common Soldier: How Men Thought, Fought, and Survived in Civil War Armies (UNC Press, 2018)
