Call for Bloggers
Dear H-Nationalism Subscribers,
H-Nationalism is looking for a diverse group of scholars who can serve as bloggers for our network. These bloggers will help expand the range and depth of civil academic discourse pertaining to nationalism studies through original posts on topics of their own choosing and by engaging with our existing series, such as the Weekend Reading, Question of the Month, and our topical threads. Bloggers are welcomed to discuss issues that they are working through in their own research, offer commentaries on current events, identify major issues facing scholars, and otherwise help bring our capacious field of study into a common conversation. H-Nationalism offers an audience of over 3,000 academic subscribers as well as a regular stream of readers who find us through the web. We also benefit from our commitment to editorial best practices, including through prohibitions against ad hominem criticisms and other forms of intellectual baiting. All comments to our site are vetted before publication, which prevents spamming and trolls. We encourage substantive criticism while limiting static. We expect individual bloggers to contribute a post or substantive comment on a series roughly once every two months. H-Nationalism is part of the non-profit academic organization, H-Net: Humanities and Social Sciences online, and exists to enrich our field of study. Academics of all ranks are welcomed to apply.
If interested, please email editorial-nationalism@mail.h-net.org with a current C.V. and roughly 250 words describing your areas of expertise and any competing time commitments. We will consider applications on a rolling basis.
Kind Regards,
David Prior
Advisory Board Member
