The Red Thunder Oral History Project, an educational website, is now online. Collaborators from the Fort Belknap Indian Community, the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and the University of Montana have been working for two years to recount the story of a little-known Indigenous-led, multi-racial environmental campaign that changed the course of mining in the sacred Little Rocky Mountains during the final decades of the 20th century. The website is a collection of videos, photos, maps, essays, student projects, primary source documents, and recommended readings. In keeping with the mission of the original organizers, we invite you to explore this resource and share it widely for use in all relevant educational environments. The project can be found at: http://redthunderoralhistoryproject.org/ and a press release is attached to this discussion.
