Call for Applications: Scholarships for Female Researchers (Deadline: March 31, 2023)

The University of Erfurt encourages postdoctoral female researchers to hand in applications for scholarships, which are funded through a programme for early-career female researchers and artists supported by the state of Thuringia (TMWWDG) and a programme for female professors supported by the German federal and state governments.

CfP: GSA Panels "Biographical Writing"

Mary Lindemann and Ben Marschke are organizing panels on "biographical writing in the twenty-first century" for the 2023 German Studies Association conference (5-8 Oct., in Montreal).  

These panels will address how scholars have recently approached the writing of biographies, whether of canonical figures, lesser known people, or even unknown people.
