We are seeking one more contributor for a panel at the German History Society Annual Conference either a junior or senior scholar on a topic relating to any German-speaking community's (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, or minority group in Central and Eastern Europe) memory and experience of war and its aftermath. Papers on German cultural relations with other ethnic groups and the use of self-determination to further political goals are also welcomed. We are particuraly interested in any papers that discuss the memory and experience of war and its aftermath, especially any that engage with questions of loyalty to a new political state or the creation of a German-minority community in the aftermath of the First or Second World War.
