CFP (Journal) - CARNIVAL Vol. XXIII (Undergraduate and Graduate Student Journal of the International Students of History Association)

Deadline for Abstracts: June 4, 2023

The editorial board of Carnival opens its Call for Papers for volume XXIII: https://ishainternational.wordpress.com/call-for-papers/. We welcome submissions in English for articles (± 7000-8000 words) and short essays (± 2500 words) on any historical topic as well as book reviews (± 1500 words). Interested authors can send in their abstracts (300-500 words) to ishacarnivaleditor@gmail.com by Sunday, June 4, 2023, 23:59 CET. Full papers will be requested after acceptance of the abstract and will go through a double-blind peer-review process before publication. CARNIVAL is a blind peer-reviewed academic journal directed by a committee of international graduate students and early career researchers affiliated with the International Students of History Association (ISHA). In addition to showcasing the work of students of the historical sciences at all academic stages, CARNIVAL provides a unique platform from which emerging scholars are able to develop their skills as writers, editors and reviewers; they also familiarize themselves with the processes integral to academic publishing. The journal is published open access annually online and was recently expanded with a Conference Proceedings issue.
