We are looking for a third paper to contribute to a panel on illicit or "deviant" sexuality in postwar Germany. The area of specialization is flexible. Examples of topics include sex work in postwar East and/or West Germany, or post 1990 Germany; official policies or discourses about sexual "deviance;" trans or queer communities or subcultures; sex trafficking; the intersection of "illicit" sexuality with other forms of marginalization or alterity (punks, drug use, racial "undesirables" etc.); experimental and controversial discourses on sexuality; or depictions of "deviant" or illicit sexuality in postwar literature, film, or other media.

We are looking for a non-graduate student, as well as a moderator and a commentator.

If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Ruth Aardsma Benton at ruth.a.aardsma-benton@wmich.edu by March 21, 2023.
