To H-Canada users:
I'm sorry to have to announce that the Marquee Event webinar on settler history in Canada, sponsored by the Jackman Humanities Institute and OISE/UT, has been cancelled.  The cancellation is the result of the University of Toronto's censure by the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT).
For those who may not be familiar with CAUT or the censure, here is a link to CAUT's statement that explains why CAUT has moved to censure U of T.
(Ottawa – April 22, 2021) Delegates to the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) Council voted today to censure the University of Toronto because of the Administration’s failure to resolve concerns regarding academic freedom stemming from a hiring scandal in the Faculty of Law.

On behalf of the panelists, thank you for your interest in this event.  We hope that under different circumstances it will take place in the future.
