Seeking Historiographical Recommendations For a Project on Religious Education in the British World

I am seeking historiographical recommendations for a project that will examine religious education in the British World from 1900-1970, focusing specifically on Canada, England, Australia, and New Zealand. At this point I am casting a wide net in search of works on this topic: I am interested in questions of content, curriculum, publications, and official policy regarding religion in schools. I would appreciate recommendations of scholarly works of history (or histories of education) that speak to these topics either at the national or state/provincial level in any of these four territories, and for public or private schools during the early to mid-twentieth century.  Feel free to post on this thread or contact me directly at

Thank you in advance for any recommendations you can provide, especially for works on this topic in Canadian history.
