The Holocaust in the 21st Century: Relevance and Challenges in the Digital Age

November 3-6, 2016, Claremont McKenna, California

Dear Colleagues,

            I am working to put together a panel on the Holocaust in Ukraine (broadly defined, this can include areas of Eastern Poland that are now in Ukraine.)  My own paper will deal with elements of my new book project, the Janowska concentration camp in Lviv (Galicia).  Work in Galicia would be a particularly good fit, but I am naturally open to a larger geographic area in Ukraine.

I am interested in papers dealing with any of the following topics: little researched aspects of the Holocaust in this area, the experience of the Holocaust in different Ukrainian spaces, the DG IV camps, memory of the Holocaust in Ukraine.  Papers addressing new methodological approaches or other thematic areas whose content is focused on Ukraine or Galicia. I will be happy to consider other related topics that I may not have imagined above.
