Announcement from STAND, Mercy Corps, and Alliance for Peaceuilding
STAND (The Student-led Movement to End Atrocities), Mercy Corps, and the Alliance for Peacebuilding are looking to engage students and recent graduates to advocate for the "Global Fragility Act," which has the potential to completely change how the U.S. approaches conflict prevention and response.
To build grassroots support for the bill, students and recent graduates can work with advocacy professionals to draft persuasive op-eds in support of the Global Fragility Act and to publish them in local newspapers. Participants who successfully complete this project by August 15, 2019 will receive a $100 stipend.
To express interest, fill out the attached form. Representatives from the above organizations will follow up for further information, including a guide for op-ed writing and suggested talking points for proposed pieces. This opportunity is open to all U.S. students and recent graduates. Please contact them for more information.
