Welcome to H-Genocide on the H-Net Commons

As you can see, our list has safely crossed into the H-Net Commons and is ready for action.  If you are reading this message as an email, then your subscription has been properly entered and notifications of new discussion posts activated.  Our migration script sets all subscriber notifications to a single daily digest of postings.  You can change this to individual postings or none at all from your MyHNet page, the landing page when you log in to the Commons.  For help with managing your account and using the Commons, click here.

To post, either by way of reply or a new message thread, make sure you are logged in, click “reply” from an email notification, or “reply” next to a message on the web, or “create a discussion post” on our front page.  Further instructions for posting can be found at H-Net’s Help Desk.

The H-Net Commons is designed to offer a greater array of content types than was possible via our mailing lists.  Discussions can continue, but are now archived and integrated with other types of content, including reviews, documents, images, audio, video, blogs, and custom pages that the editors create.

We invite you to participate as an editor, advisory board member, subscriber, or a contributor to special projects developed by your editors.  Please click "write to the editors" at our network front page if you'd like to join our team.

Your current editors, Stephanie Wolfe and Alan Jacobs, have been training to use the Commons and will return to the helm shortly.  Meanwhile, H-Net has assigned an interim editor to post incoming submissions and process subscription requests.

Remember that H-Net is a volunteer organization.  Please consider a donation to help us keep H-Net free and accessible.

Now, let the games begin...
