Students of all study phases (undergraduate, masters, PhD) are invited to share their work in progress at the second International Student Colloquium in Romanian Studies, which takes place online from 3rd to 6th March 2022. All strands of research – such as cultural, literary, linguistic, historical, political, religious, social, etc. – relating to Romania, the Republic of Moldova and other Romanian speaking regions are welcome.
The special feature this year is the focus on methods and approaches. The aim of the colloquium is to exchange and reflect on methodology in ongoing research projects in Romanian Studies. This includes e.g., survey and analysis methods, research ethics and data management. Perspectives on challenges and solutions as well as practices of good research are especially welcome. The organization team therefore calls for the presentation of workshop reports and explicitly encourages participants to bring open questions when presenting their own approach to the respective topic, which can then be discussed in the group of listeners. The aim is not so much to present finished results as to make methodological work in progress transparent and (also) to learn from each other in this respect.
Proposals for the talks and workshops are welcome! In addition to the two-day program of student presentations and workshops, there will be social get-togethers and keynotes.
Abstracts can be submitted in English, Romanian, or German by Jan. 16, 2022, and should be in the language of the presentation or workshop.
