What Folklorists Do: Professional Possibilities in Folklore Studies will be published on Tuesday, October 5, and from 5:30 to 6:30 Eastern US time that afternoon the Indiana University Press, publisher of the book, and book editor Timothy Lloyd will host a Zoom-based launch event for the book. (For information about the book, please visit https://iupress.org/9780253058423/what-folklorists-do/.)

Lloyd will be joined by four of the book’s authors—Danille Christensen of Virginia Tech, Diane Goldstein of Indiana, David Puglia of Bronx Community College, and Pat Turner of UCLA—each of whom will comment on, and read a brief excerpt from, her or his WFD essay before the event opens for questions and discussion.
