The Institute of Caribbean Studies, University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras (UPR-RP), celebrating its 60th anniversary, invites the academic community and the general public to the lecture: “Huracanes y bosques en Puerto Rico y las Antillas Mayores: ¿Qué nos dice un siglo de investigaciones ecológicas?,” by Dr. Tania del Mar López Marrero, Interdisciplinary Center of Littoral Studies, UPR-Mayagüez. Dr. Tamara Heartsill Scalley, International Institute of Tropical Dasonomy, Federal Forest Service, and Department of Environmental, UPR-Río Piedras, will comment the lecture. The activity will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Room 238 (REB 238) of the Ramón Emeterio Betances (REB) Building, College of the Social Sciences, UPR-RP.This presentation will be broadcast LIVE online through the UPR-Rio Piedras web site at http://uprrp.edu
