This LSA Webinar seeks to expand career opportunities for PhDs in the social sciences and the humanities beyond the classroom. It will shed light on the symbiotic relationship among institutions of knowledge production, policy, and higher education. Discussants will talk about how they transitioned into their present and past roles, the organizational infrastructure of their fields in terms of funding, recruitment, policies, responsibilities, career growth and transformation, mobility, networking, and professional relationships with numerous stakeholders, which include academics working in classrooms and research institutes, government officers, policy makers, and donor institutions.
