H-Africa Network members might be interested in a new book from Cornell University Press.

Black France, White Europe: Youth, Race, and Belonging in the Postwar Era, explores how education reforms and programs promoting solidarity between French and African youth collided with transnational efforts to make young people in Western Europe feel more European after World War II. Based on years of research in European and African archives, Black France, White Europe locates these competing generational projects at the center of the entangled history of African decolonization and European integration.
