SUBLET AVAILABLE THIS SUMMER. Strictly non-smoking, vegetarian kosher kitchen (with wonderful counter space and basic fixtures). NIS 2,500 plus electricity and internet (water and arnona included). References required.
Cozy and peaceful, with heavy masonry walls and a low ceiling (with a little dome in its center). Located in an enchanted, green, little-known corner at the bottom edge of Schunat Pat. Good connections by bus and bike path through the city, with particularly easy access to National Library, Nishmat, and Pardes. (You would be welcome to use my bicycle while I'm away.)
There is good Jewish infrastructure in the neighborhood. The walk to the shuls of Katamon, German Colony, Rehavia, and beyond is longish but pleasant. (I do the walk to Yakar every Shabbat, and it generally takes me around 40 minutes.)
There is background susurrus, and occasionally I hear football matches from the stadium. However, there is almost none of the more disruptive noise of urban life. This is one of the only truly quiet apartments I have seen here in Jerusalem, or anywhere.
The entrance to the building is shared with only with the apartment of the landlady, an elderly, generous-hearted academic who has become a good friend. Washing machine and spinner are in adjoining makhzan.
The apartment is my home and sanctuary, and I'd like to rent it to someone who can appreciate its peace and take good care of it. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
