The 25th Symposium for Yiddish Studies in Germany will take place September 19 to 21,
2022 in Düsseldorf. We would, of course, prefer to experience this special event in person.
However, we are aware of the ever-changing situation due to the Corona pandemic and will
make a decision (in a timely manner) that takes into account the best interests of all of us.
The symposium is annually organized by the Yiddish programs at the universities of Trier
and Düsseldorf.

You are invited to submit abstracts until April 1st 2022.
Please send your submission to: jiddisch@hhu.de.

All fields of research within Yiddish Studies will be considered. Interdisciplinary papers with a
connection to Yiddish Studies are welcome. Proposals for sessions of 2 to 4 papers have to
be submitted together with abstracts for the individual papers. Papers may be presented in
German or Yiddish.

Please note that the speaking time is limited to 20 minutes.
The symposium is open to everyone interested in Yiddish Studies.
We ask participants to register as soon as possible at the address below.

Prof. Simon Neuberg, Trier University
Prof. Marion Aptroot, Heinrich Heine University Dusseldorf
