This Annual Symposium on Jewish Civilization will take place in Omaha, Nebraska, on Sunday, October 23, and Monday, October 24, 2022.  Sessions will be held on the campuses of Creighton University and the University of Nebraska Omaha and at the Omaha Jewish Community Center.

Throughout Jewish history crime-preventers and crime-fomenters have attracted the attention of non-fiction authors as well as novelists and other fiction writers.  This Symposium will explore the richness and diversity of these experiences from the biblical era to the modern world, using a  range of media, genres, and approaches.  Presentations will be thirty minutes in length, followed by audience interaction.  The target audience encompasses the general public, undergraduate students, and other scholars.  Selected papers in written form will be published in an edited, thematic volume as part of the Studies in Jewish Civilization Series.

Support for presenters' transportation and accommodation will be provided.  Proposals should contain a 200-word abstract and a CV.  Submit them by May 1 to Leonard Greenspoon, Klutznick Chair, at ljgrn@creighton.edu.
