Please join the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University for two exciting events to launch our first ever virtual art exhibition in conjunction with Brandeis University's Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Creative Arts, April 25-May 1, 2021.

The Zionist Phantom - Exhibition Launch and Artist Talk with Prof. Dana Arieli and Dr. Rotem Rozental

Meet the artist and curator behind the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies' first virtual art exhibition, "The Zionist Phantom"http://tiny.cc/zionistphantom. In this online exhibition, the artist, Prof. Dana Arieli, shapes a panoramic view of a landscape defined by its haunting ghosts, missing limbs, what should have been there and will never return. This is Arieli’s first exhibition in the USfollowing decades of creating groundbreaking exhibitions in Israel and Europe and mentoring generations of students.

The Zionist Phantom, A Photographic Tale: Artist Workshop with Prof. Dana Arieli

The Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University invites you to a workshop with Prof. Dana Arieli, the artist behind our first ever virtual art exhibition, The Zionist Phantom http://tiny.cc/zionistphantom. Guided by Prof. Arieli, participants will be invited to select images from the project and to respond to them with their own texts, reflecting their impressions, emotions or memories. The written responses will be added to the exhibition webpage.
