H-Judaic is greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Michael Zvi Nehorai (1931-2020), Professor emeritus of Jewish Philosophy at Bar Ilan University.  Born in Moldova, Romania (under the last name Litman), he came to the Land of Israel in 1941, studied at Mercaz HaRav Kook, and completed a doctorate at the Hebrew University.  Prof. Nehorai wrote numerous articles (see them in RAMBI -- http://merhav.nli.org.il/primo-explore/search?query=creator,contains,%D7%A0%D7%94%D7%95%D7%A8%D7%90%D7%99%20%D7%9E%D7%99%D7%9B%D7%90%D7%9C%20%D7%A6%D7%91%D7%99&vid=NLI_Rambi&lang=iw_IL) ,   and also played an important role in the MAFDAL party and in religious Zionism.   Prof. Zeev Harvey, who sent word of his passing, recalled him as " a formidable talmid hakham, a profound scholar of Jewish philosophy, a very intelligent ideologue of religious Zionism, and a warm and passionate man."
