The Centre for Jewish Studies at the University of Manchester is delighted to announce this year’s Sherman Lecture Series, delivered by Prof. Amy-Jill Levine (Vanderbilt). Four public lectures will take place at the University of Manchester, UK, every day at 5.15pm (Arts Lecture Theatre, Samuel Alexander Building) on the following themes: 


Monday 27 April: Jesus in His Jewish Context: The Importance of Recovering History
Tue 28 April: The Mistakes Jews and Christians Make About Each Other
Wed 29 April: Is the New Testament Anti-Semitic?
Thu 30 April: Messianic Judaism, Conversion to Christianity, Intermarriage, Inter-religious Households: Disputes for the Sake of Heaven
