Aaron Hahn Tapper Discussion

As trailblazers in integrating Jewish studies with social justice (JSSJ), the University of San Francisco’s Swig Program in Jewish Studies and Social Justice officially announces a new groundbreaking program expanding our student communities: this August, USF is launching the first-ever Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) graduate-level certificate in JEDI + JSSJ.

This program will allow professionals to power their careers with the tools to implement systemic change around anti-oppression, social justice, and human rights in professional contexts. With a curriculum rooted in current research and best practices around multiracial, multicultural, and multifaith values, students engage with current political and social realities with a focus on equity and intersectionality within the larger context of education both in relation to and outside of the “Jewish world.”

The JEDI + JSSJ certificate program has a diverse and seasoned faculty. Renowned faculty from the Jewish professional world include Camille Angel, Aaron Hahn Tapper, Joy Ladin, Yavilah McCoy, and Julia Watts-Belser, among others.

In as little as 12 months, professionals can attain a graduate-level certificate while boosting their knowledge and skill set, thereby preparing them to make a significant difference in communal life.
