The Judaic Studies Department at Brooklyn College is pleased to announce that this Thursday, March 23, 12:15-2:00 PM in Tanger Auditorium in the library, we will be hosting a screening of the documentary, Reckonings, followed by a panel discussion by experts about the reconciliation process between Germany and the Jewish people following the Holocaust. When your country has done the unthinkable to another people, how do you make amends? When the unthinkable has been done to you by another people, how do you reconcile with them? This film documents the process that the German government and the Jewish people engaged in after the Holocaust.
