The Wyner Family Jewish Heritage Center (JHC) at New England Historic Genealogical Society is pleased to announce that it is now receiving applications for the 2023 Genevieve Geller Wyner Research Fellowship. The Fellowship provides an opportunity for a scholar to conduct research in the JHC’s Boston-based archives, whose collections focus on New England Jewish history. While the research project does not have to use the JHC archives solely, JHC collections should comprise a significant portion of the project’s source research. At the conclusion of the Fellowship period, the Fellow is asked to present on their research for the Genevieve Wyner Annual Lecture in Fall 2023 (which may be held virtually or in-person).
One fellowship will be offered in 2023, in the amount of $2,500. Applications must be received by February 15, 2023. Applicants will be notified by March 24, 2023, of their fellowship status. Research will take place at a mutually agreed-upon time, in Spring and/or Summer 2023.
To be eligible, scholars must hold a PhD at the time of application.
