PRESENTATION OF THE WEBINAR
Cold War, clash of the titans, Thucydides trap, there is no shortage of words to describe the conflicting relations between China and the United States.
This webinar will therefore focus on Sino-American relations and their impact on the rest of the world. The desire for peace, the need for security, and the economic challenges call for practical lessons to be learned about the similarities and differences between the 20th century Cold War and the current situation.
Speakers will discuss the increased risks of strategic hypertension, the Chinese perspective on the escalation between China and Washington, and the place of Europe and multilateral institutions in this tug of war.
