We are seeking two more panelists for the Society for Military History 2019 Annual Meeting. The panel would explore any and all aspects of the development and doctrine of nuclear weapons during the Truman and Eisenhower administrations. Papers that examine policymaking and military strategy/doctrine surrounding nuclear weapons (broadly defined) are particularly welcome. Papers do not necessarily have to focus on the American context. Ian Johnson (Associate Director of the Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy, Yale University) will serve as panel chair, and is co-organizing the panel with Benjamin V. Allison (Graduate Student, Kent State University). If interested, please email abstracts and paper titles to email@example.com.
