A Vintage Evening: Toast Hamilton
July 19, 2018
6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Toast Alexander Hamilton at this Vintage Evening inspired by the original bartender’s bill from a meeting of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati in 1789. Discover the spirits served to Hamilton and his fellow Society members. Start the evening with a rum punch welcome cocktail. Then, Executive Director Jack Warren and George Washington University professor Denver Brunsman will highlight truths and lies about Alexander Hamilton in a brief but lively presentation. After the presentation, try brandy tastings offered by Catoctin Creek Distilling Company and local porter with served with heavy refreshments. A Hamilton quote trivia game, a photo opportunity with a life-size Hamilton cut out, and much more will be available for an evening of fun!
This program is held in conjunction with our current exhibition, Alexander Hamilton’s American Revolution (through September 16).
