CFP: Annual Conference

The DC History Conference Committee is now accepting proposals for presentations to be made at the 44th Annual Conference on DC History.  We would like to encourage you to consider submitting a paper for this year's conference.

If you or someone you know is currently working on, or would like to present on, some aspect of the history and culture of the National Capital Region or nearby communities, please consider submitting (or encourage them to submit).  Every year, we attract an interested audience to hear, see, and discuss a wide variety of topics in a range of formats that tell the story of our city's development and the people who have made it so interesting to live here.

Not only do we feature formal research papers, but our conference has also presented insightful oral history projects, archaeology, film, and music that capture some aspect of many eras of the District's 220 year history.

The call for proposals can also be accessed at this link:

Proposals are due by June 9, 2017, 11:59 p.m.

Please mark your calendar and we hope to see you during November 2-5 at the DC History Conference!
