I am very pleased to announce that Hayden Nelson has joined the H-Borderlands editorial team! Hayden L. Nelson is a Ph.D. student at the University of Kansas where his research focuses on nineteenth-century U.S. borderlands in the trans-Mississippi West. Hayden is particularly interested in conceptualizing borderlands as spaces of both cooperation and contestation, especially between Indigenous peoples and settlers over access to and usage of the land, resources, and the environment. Hayden's work also engages with the historical memory of settler colonialism and the ways in which colonization remains an ongoing process. You can follow him on Twitter @Hayden_L_Nelson.
