H-Borderlands news
Meet Angeles Picone, H-Borderlands’ new co-editor! Angie is a PhD Candidate in Latin American History at Emory University. Her work focuses on nation-making in border regions through spatial practices. Specifically, she works on the Northern Patagonian Andes, straddling Argentina and Chile in the first half of the twentieth century. You can follow her on Twitter @mdlapicone. She joins Sheila McManus, Professor of History at the University of Lethbridge, who moderated this network by herself for far too long. Sheila is finishing a manuscript comparing recent historiography on the Canada-U.S. and U.S.-Mexico borderlands to answer the question, “how do borderlands work?” You can follow her @nevermetafence.
And speaking of Twitter, H-Borderlands now has a Twitter account – you can follow us @HBorderlands.
You will notice some changes to the H-Borderlands site over the next little while as the two of us bring it up to date. We are always looking for more co-editors – the bigger the team, the more we can accomplish!
