Originally planned as a two-day conference, ‘Telling the Story of Sport’ is a series of online workshops that explores the multiple ways in which various sports have been culturally constructed and experienced. It aims to examine the media through which sport is represented: from the national press, often credited for allowing the development of mass spectatorship sport in nineteenth-century Europe, to the new broadcast and social media, which offer new forms of personal investment in the story of sport, via the advent of radio and television.

H-Sport is pleased to announce the release of the latest Journal Watch for the third quarter of 2020. The Journal Watch identifies scholarly sport-related articles and book reviews published in five languages (English, French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese) during the last three months, and also surveys Italian-language publications on a biannual basis.
