ASPHS 2018 Elections: Call for Nominations

The ASPHS Nominating Committee invites nominations and self-nominations for the 2018 election cycle, during which the following 5 positions  will be filled:

-Two at-large members of the Executive Committee

 
-One Portuguese Studies specialist of the Executive Committee

-One national of Spain or Portugal (whose primary residence is in either country) of the Executive Committee

-One Nominating Committee member from any field of study 

Executive Committee positions are two-year appointments; members of the Nominating Committee serve a three-year term. The terms of office begin at the conclusion of the Business Meeting at the 2018 conference. Graduate students are not eligible.

The Executive Committee's duties are outlined in the ASPHS Constitution, which is available along with a list of current officers on the ASPHS website: http://asphs.net/home.html 

Please email the Nominating Committee chair, Hamilton M. Stapell (stapellh@newpaltz.edu), with the title of the position that you would like to run for and a brief biographical statement of approximately 150 words.  If you would like to nominate someone else, please send that person’s name and email address and the position for which he/she is being nominated.
 
If you have not run before, please consider running.  We would like to put forth a full slate of candidates this year!
  
Nomination Deadline: October 20, 2017
 
Please note:  Nominees must join ASPHS before running for office.
